Inspired by the popular Scream Club in Chicago, which went viral on TikTok, Foster was determined to bring the same energy and emotional release to Kansas City. She realized that social media connections didn't have to be distant; instead, they could give rise to local initiatives. What started as a simple idea gained momentum through community engagement, with over 2,000 people expressing interest in joining via TikTok alone.

At the Scream Club event, attendees were encouraged to write down their reasons for showing up, ranging from personal victories to political frustrations. Participants like Alice Crist, a self-proclaimed “big screamer,” shared how screaming can provide a sense of relief. Stephanie Billen expressed, "I’m mad as hell, and I know [politicians] want to scare us into being quiet, but it’s just making me want to be even louder."
